Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using Feroxbuster Pro ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not complete checkout, download, activate, or use the Software.

2. Checkout, account creation, and fulfillment

Stripe checkout collects payment details and confirms whether payment succeeds. After successful payment, we create or attach the customer account, fulfill the relevant license entitlement, and send the next-step email for password setup when needed.

Password setup happens after checkout, not inside Stripe. Offline activation artifacts are issued later from the customer portal or licensing workflow after the purchased license exists.

3. License Grant

Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to:

  • Install and use the Software on devices you own or control
  • Use the Software for personal and commercial purposes, including penetration testing and security assessments
  • Receive updates for the duration of your active update subscription

4. Distributed Runtime add-on terms

Distributed Runtime is an optional add-on for Feroxbuster Pro. It requires a valid Pro license on the purchasing account, is non-transferable, and grants only the controller and agent entitlements described at the time of purchase. The add-on is fulfilled after payment and any later offline activation is issued from the portal, not during Stripe checkout itself.

5. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Redistribute, sublicense, sell, or transfer the Software or your license
  • Remove, obscure, or modify any copyright, trademark, patent, or other proprietary notices, labels, licensing information, or vendor signatures included with the Software.
  • Use the Software for any illegal purposes or without proper authorization for target systems
  • Share your license key with others

6. Security research and reverse engineering

Except as required by applicable law, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software. Notwithstanding the foregoing, limited reverse engineering for the sole purpose of good-faith security research or interoperability is permitted only if you:

  • Comply with our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy and report findings to security@feroxbuster.pro prior to public disclosure;
  • Avoid interacting with production data, customer systems, or third-party services; and
  • Do not publish proprietary source code, exploit code, or materials that enable reproduction of licensed proprietary assets without coordination through our disclosure process.

Any reverse engineering or disclosure that includes exploit code, sensitive data, or instructions to reproduce should be coordinated through our disclosure process; failure to do so may affect eligibility for safe-harbor.

7. Updates and Support

Your initial purchase includes 12 months of updates. After this period, you may continue using your current version indefinitely, or purchase an update renewal to receive new versions. Support is provided via email during your active update period.

8. Renewals and add-ons

Renewals extend update eligibility for an existing license. Add-ons are sold separately, may have additional terms, and can require a fresh checkout acknowledgment when the purchase includes terms not covered by an earlier accepted legal bundle.

9. Responsible Use

You agree to use the Software only on systems you own or have explicit, written authorization to test. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Unauthorized access to computer systems is illegal in most jurisdictions.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PARTICULAR PURPOSES.

11. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.

12. Termination

We may terminate your license if you breach these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing law and severability

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflicts of law principles. You and the Company submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Maryland for resolution of any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms. The Company may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction when necessary to protect its rights.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Consumer rights. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

15. Other important terms

Intellectual property. All title and intellectual property rights in the Software (including any copies) are owned by the Company or its licensors. Except for the limited license grants in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

Open source software. The Software may include open source or third-party components governed by their own licenses. Those components are licensed to you under their respective terms; nothing in these Terms supersedes those licenses.

Export compliance. You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations and not to export the Software to any country, person or entity prohibited by law.

Privacy. Use of the Software is subject to our Privacy Policy. See Privacy Policy.

Refunds. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy.
